Fujikawaguchiko Onsen Konanso

Simply perfect in every way, from the room itself (with an amazing view of lake Kawaguchi), and the impeccable service, to the invigorating onsens (both communal and private), as well as a spectacular Japanese dinner (where the chef will do their utmost to cater to any allergies or ethical/religious limitations). The breakfast buffet is also amazing and deserves special mentioning. I am a top-tier reward program member on Booking.com, and I have written quite a few reviews since long before the pandemic, and I rarely give a full 10/10 (a lot of the time of the time, I am the guy whose overly critical review lowers the average score of the hotel), but Konanso unquestionably deserves a perfect score. Stay here, and you want to stay again (I did), and although it may cost a bit more than the cheapest ryokan in Fujikawaguchiko, it is worth it!

This place is awesome. It is very close to Kawaguchiko station. You can literally walk. The service is awesome. The check in and check out was smooth. The room was great. The service was great. The onsen, bath, and Mt Fuji view were astonishing. We loved every minute of our stay. It is so close to the lake. There is a free shuttle to the station and service is great. The breakfast had a plenty of choices of traditional and non traditional food. The dinner ceremony and variety were amazing. We loved our experience. We get a feel of Japanese culture in this hotel.

The room itself also deserves extra mentioning – it felt both traditional and modern, and in every way just right. Everything here was top tier- the staff, the food, the onsen, the views, the room, the services, etc. We dressed in yukatas and slippers each day for meals and around the hotel, we enjoyed a private onsen for little cost extra, and we had the most amazing food for breakfast. The traditional 10- course Japanese meals were truly an awesome experience! We had a wonderful room host named Naoto. He and the rest of the staff were extremely hospitable and enthusiastic.

The room was absolutely incredible, the breakfast was delicious, the service was top notch. Overall has to be one of the best hotels in Kawaguchiko. Could not recommend enough. We had a private bath on the balcony but I still recommend a visit to the public onsen because they were beautiful.
